Amtrak worker hit by train, killed in Lancaster County on Monday, officials say

An Amtrak worker was hit by a train and killed on Monday, according to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office.

Jeremy Charles, 39, was working with an Amtrak crew on the railroad tracks on Monday, Feb. 23 when he was hit by a passing train, officials said.

The crash happened near Greenfield Road in East Lampeter Township, officials reported.
