The Quakertown Community School District board has accepted the resignation of the superintendent at a special school board meeting on Tuesday night.
On Friday, Feb. 13, Superintendent Dr. Matthew Friedman took a leave of absence, officials said.
In the meantime, the school board appointed the assistant superintendent, Dr. Lisa Hoffman, to act as interim superintendent.
Then, during a special school board meeting on March 3, district leaders officially accepted Dr. Friedman’s resignation and appointed Dr. Hoffman as the district’s interim superintendent.
No word yet on what led to Dr. Friedman’s resignation.
