Man struck and killed by NJTransit bus at Independence Mall on Sunday: Police

A man was struck and killed by a New Jersey Transit bus in the area of Independence Mall and Arch Street on Sunday evening, police said.

The crash occurred at around 5:50 p.m. on March 8, police said, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:55 p.m.

The man has not been publicly identified at this time, but the Philadelphia Police Department’s Crash Investigation Division is leading the investigation.
