An arrest was made after a woman was shot in Chester County, Pennsylvania, over the weekend, officials announced.
On Saturday, March 7, around 10:45 p.m., a woman was shot in the area of Contention Lane at Old State Road in Tredyffrin Township. Police did not reveal the woman’s condition or what led to the shooting.
Neighbors told NBC10 the victim lives in the area where the shooting took place and described her as a mom. Corey Han, a neighbor, said he heard the shooting.
“I heard a really loud bang outside my window,” Han said. “Usually nothing that dangerous happens in this neighborhood and I go for walks. It’s unsettling for me.”
On Monday, March 9, the Chester County District Attorney’s Office announced an arrest was made in the shooting.
Officials have not released the suspect’s identity but plan to reveal more details during a press conference at 1 p.m. on Monday. You can watch that press conference live in the video embedded on top of this article.
