Liquor-infused scoops and sundaes are coming to Center City Philadelphia.
New York City’s cult-favorite boozy ice cream brand, Tipsy Scoop, is set to open a new location in the city’s Rittenhouse Square neighborhood on Saturday, May 9.
The new store will be located at 119 South 18th Street, marking Tipsy Scoop’s debut in the City of Brotherly Love and the first “Barlour” in Pennsylvania.
To celebrate the grand opening at 1 p.m., the first 25 people in line will receive swag bags, and guests can expect to find a Philly-exclusive menu items like the Philly Phreeze (spiked water ice) and the Birdz Blitz.
Tipsy Scoop is known for its cocktail-inspired ice creams and sorbets, each infused with real alcohol, up to 5% ABV.
Guests must be 21 or older to enjoy boozy flavors, but the menu will also feature “Cool Kids Sundaes” and non-alcoholic mocktail options, making it a destination for all ages.
Founded in New York City in 2014, Tipsy Scoop has expanded to multiple locations, including company-owned shops in NYC and franchises in Washington, DC, the Bahamas, Portland, Nashville, Pensacola, and Baltimore and now Philadelphia as its newest market.
“Philadelphia has been at the top of our expansion list since we opened our first Barlour in 2017,” says founder and owner Melissa Tavss. “With its incredible food and cocktail scene, it’s the perfect place to bring our boozy ice cream experience.”

The Philadelphia Tipsy Scoop location is a collaboration with BOTLD, a vertically integrated wine and spirits platform that provides Pennsylvanians access to coveted spirits not available in the state stores.
