Off-duty Philly officer badly hurt in motorcycle crash on Sunday, officials say

An off-duty officer was badly hurt in a crash involving a motorcycle over the weekend, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.

The crash happened on the 8500 block of Verree Road in the Fox Chase section of Northeast Philadelphia on Sunday, March 8, police explained.

The police department confirmed that an off-duty Philadelphia officer was critically hurt in the crash and he was taken to a nearby hospital.

No word yet on what led to the crash or if there were any other injuries.
